Healthy Beginnings is a green Montessori school, committed to giving an authentic Montessori education to children from six weeks to six years old. We are located in a safe and peaceful neighborhood in Plano, Texas, with classrooms specifically built to fit the needs of children.
The best transition for children going from their home to their school should begin with a warm and cozy environment that is familiar yet stimulating. At Healthy Beginnings, we make that transition for children easy by providing them with a home-like setting comparable to Maria Montessori’s children’s houses
in Rome.
Unlike conventional Montessori schools, our classrooms represent a charming living room, exuding order and tranquility. In this environment, children learn to create a community in which they are its caring citizens, and Healthy Beginnings encourages the children to cultivate a sense of family among themselves.
Being a green school, we commit ourselves to instilling a sense of natural wonder in our students. We believe that before we can expect children to respect and want to preserve nature, we must first allow them time to discover it.
Because the discovery of our natural world happens through the child's senses, we provide a spacious back yard with a gazebo, labyrinth, trees, and gardens: butterfly, vegetable, flower, and Japanese. In this outdoor environment, children are encouraged to run, play, and explore in all of the ways of being a kid.
